Whoop! Day 4! According the the book, today is supposed be slightly better, and I think it was. Despite my (again) awful night of sleep (night sweats included again), I woke up relatively refreshed. I did find myself having a short temper a few times, like the book mentions may happen. I snapped at my son a couple of times in situations that probably wasn’t warranted.
AM: Felt relatively refreshed this morning, although I still tossed and turned a bit last night and the night sweats…ugh. Starting to get a little tired of the monotony, but plugging through.
Midday: Parents are visiting today. Ate out (first “eating out” experience thus far) and made good choices. Yay, self! Very proud of sticking to my plan. VERY thirsty. Drank a lot of water at lunch.
Evening: Had dinner with parents again. Ate out (again) and made a great choice. Feeling SUPER BLOATED. I feel like I am 5 months pregnant…and so does my stomach. What the heck. Also, wedding rings are super tight. HOWEVER…I had my first non-scale-victory today. I looked in the mirror tonight and my skin is glowing. Glowing! It looks really healthy and tight. Hmm…maybe there is something to this plan, despite the bloat.
Meal 1: Spinach Omelette, Roasted Potatoes, Watermelon and Banana Salad, TJ’s Salsa.
Meal 2: (no picture) Ate out here at a local pizza joint…made a good choice with Shrimp Salad (minus the mozzarella); Romaine, Medium Shrimp, Black Olives, Tomatoes, Cucumbers. I ordered the vinaigrette on the side but didn’t end up using it. Wasn’t sure what was in it and actually the salad was really flavorful without it.
Meal 3: (no picture) Ate out again. (eek) Ciopinno; Salmon, Mussels, Cod, Tomatoes, Onion, Garlic in a Fish Stock. Passed on the accompanied bread and had club soda with a lime.
Looking forward to having a more normal day tomorrow.
