Week 2! Here we go!
I’m so excited- I subscribed to the Real Plans meal planner that works in conjunction with the Whole 30 plan. The system is great; it customaizes a meal plan based on your unique needs each week and spits it a shopping list to go with it. There are a ton of compliant recipes and you can even import your own from online or from the book.
According to the book, this time in the plan is supposed to mark an increase in energy marked with increased food cravings for the “old” way you used to eat.
I wouldn’t say that’s happening so much but my palate is getting a bit tired of potatoes, sweet potatoes and sausage. I’m hoping to get some inspiration from Real Plans as well as other bloggers who have some creative ideas.
AM: Feel pretty darn good. Gut is mostly better although still a bit bloated and feeling like I have to “go” a lot. ?
Midday: Still plenty of energy. It’s a busy day cleaning out my work kitchen. Was able to get 85% done. Just need to finish up a few things tomorrow. Yay!!
Evening: Had plenty of energy to prepare a yummy recipe I found off of my Real Plans planner. Definitely ready for bed early though. 9pm was lights out. ?
Meal 2: None. Oops! Didn’t plan today. I had a doctor’s appointment this morning and I went flying out the door without my lunch. Actually felt OK until the drive home when I was really hungry. Then I realized I had a supply of roasted cashews in the car. Phew. Carried me through until dinner.
Meal 3: Pork Medallions with Nectarines, Kale Saute, Sweet Potato/Potato Medley
