Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past 9 months, you know that today is election day. I know for folks here in Washington State, we do not actually go to the polls any longer, we mail in or drop off our ballots at a drop off locations around our cities and state.
I have over the past few election cycles taken more time to understand how lucky I am as a woman, to vote in this great country. There was a time, not that long ago where I, an equal citizen, business owner, contributor to society, could not cast a ballot. Doesn’t that seem crazy?
Let’s take a moment to honor those brave women who fought through blood, sweat and tears so that we might all enjoy the right to vote.
So please, I urge you, even if you are are not enthused about either of the candidates for President, chose one and be done. Do you really want to be sitting where you are today, a year from now kicking yourself for not taking part in this election? Do hanging chads ring a bell?
YOU can make a difference.
