Phew – I finally had a “normal” day so to speak and was able to get things done around the house, prepare fresh meals and generally be on top of it.
I have noticed my clothes are fitting significantly looser, it’s super tempting to want to jump on the scale, but I must refrain and hold steadfast to the plan of waiting until Day 31 to weigh myself. Why is this so important? Because jumping on the scale prematurely, may set us up for relying on a number on the scale to quantify how this program is working.
This program is so much more than a diet. It allows you to really listen to your body, to feel how food affects your mood, energy, body composition, cravings, etc. If we simply relied only on the scale to determine if we’ve made progress, we most likely wouldn’t notice all of the NSV that we are seeing as a result of this program.
So, please wait to jump on that scale. You’ve come so far. Don’t let the number on the scale be the driving force behind your program.
Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs with Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage and Hash Browns
Lunch: I was not super hungry today so I had a RX bar after my workout.
Dinner: Pan-Sear Roasted Salmon, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Lemon Cauliflower Rice (YUM!*) and Steamed Asparagus.
*We both LOVED the roasted cauliflower so much. It almost tasted like it had breading in it but the way it had caramelized in the oven. Riced cauliflower, in 425 oven for 20 minutes. Tossed with a little lemon juice and parsley, salt and pepper.
