Day three here at Chateau Lane, and it’s a lovely sunny day in our neighborhood. It’s surprising, I mean almost ridiculous how much the weather impacts my mood. I woke up this morning to birds chipping, the sun rising and blue sky…an anomaly in the PNW as of late.
My Mini Whole30 reset is moving along quite nice. For the most part I feel good. I was a bit achy (arthritis, saved for another post) but I’m thinking maybe that’s all of the crud from the last couple of weeks working its way out of my system. Other than those aches and pains, my head is clear and body has lots of energy.
Yesterday, I made a really simple salmon salad for lunch, you can take a peek at the video below which explains what is in it.
Tonight is my husband’s birthday and we are planning to go out to dinner. I knew this going into my reset so I will likely steer off the Whole30 for dinner tonight; however, I can say that they last 3 days (it really is three because I started my Whole30 before dinner on the first night, for those of you doing the math) have given me the confidence to stay on track.
My takeaway from this reset? With just a couple of days of regrouping and setting my mind to something, it’s amazing how the body will respond. I plan to come back to these resets anytime I am feeling a little off kilter as I have learned over time that they can set me on the correct path again.
