Oh boy, I woke up feeling like I had been hit with a Mack truck this morning. Headache and just overall lethargy. I promise I didn’t partake in any alcohol last night. I know this is normal for today and tomorrow to feel blah and tired.
I’m still out of town, and trying to do my best. For breakfast, I was able to grab a couple of hard boiled eggs, a banana and black coffee. Sadly, I didn’t have my Nutpods because they were taken at security yesterday. 🙁
Mid morning I enjoyed a blueberry Rx Bar which helped hold me over until lunch.
For lunch today, the group decided to order Jimmy John’s. I panicked until I learned that they offer lettuce wrapped sandwiches in lieu of bread. What the what? I don’t know if the turkey was “compliant” but as a rule to myself, I do my best when in difficult situations. The rest of the sandwich was smashed avocado, dijon mustard, lettuce and tomato. I omitted the cheese.
As the day went on, I started to feel a little better. I’ve been drinking a ton of water, so hopefully that will help. I do have a considerable amount of heartburn, which I don’t remember from previous Whole30 experiences.
Sugar cravings have significantly decreased. I passed on two desserts last night as well as a birthday cake that was being served at lunch. There are currently candied almonds, artisan chocolates and Hershey’s kisses sitting at the table in front of me. I honestly am not interested in any of them.
We grabbed dinner at the airport tonight. I opted for the plain burger without bun on a bed of greens. I was really hungry by the time we were able to eat as it was 8:00pm.
A couple of handfuls of almonds the flight and a bottled water and I’m back to Seattle. All and all it was a successful trip, we accomplished a lot at our meeting and I stayed on track. Hooray! Now I need my bed. Zzzzzz
