We have officially completed one week on Whole30! Pause for a moment and let’s reflect on that accomplishment. A whole week of eating clean, saying no to temptations, planning out your day, prepping food, and learning to read labels. Hooray you!
I know the first time I did a Whole30, the first week was really rough. Now having done this a few times it’s really quite easy for me to make the switch to clean eating. It just takes planning and goal setting.
For some reason, last night I put in a rough night’s sleep. I woke up about 1:30am and couldn’t go back to sleep until around 4:30am. Ugh. Today was brutal.
This morning, I met with a couple of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. The place where we went has compliant breakfast items, so that made things so much easier. I ordered the Joe’s Scramble; scrambled eggs, Aidel’s Chicken Apple Sausage and spinach. I omitted the cheese. It was served with roasted potato fries. Win win.
Because we had breakfast closer to 11:00am, I wasn’t super hungry for lunch. Instead, I just had a couple of compliant snacks today, a Larabar; Cashew Cookie and a handful of almonds later in the day.
John is at a work event tonight so for dinner, I heated the other portion of the salmon dinner that I made last night, which was delicious day two.
Going to head to bed early tonight and see if I can recoup some of the sleep I lost last night. 🙂
My NSVs today were feeling somewhat energetic despite having terrible sleep last night. I feel less achy and more like moving than the stiff self that I’ve felt the last couple of months. Tomorrow will be a great day.
