While it wasn’t my most restful night of sleep yet, it was better than the last few nights. I have pledged to myself to keep away from my phone when I’m tossing and turning and can’t fall back to sleep. I know the light from the screen is not helping my brain go back to sleep. I’ll let you know how this goes.
For breakfast today, I enjoyed hash browns and two fried eggs. How do you like your eggs cooked? I prefer runny yolk but I can’t deal with runny whites, so I cook them over easy-over medium.
For lunch I warmed up the lef over Turkey Albóndigas Soup from Sunbasket. It was a bit on the skimpy side as we have eaten it a few times so I added some sliced compliant sausage to bulk it up. Super satisfying.
For dinner, I took advantage of one of our meal kits. This week I ordered two Sunbasket meals and two Blue Apron meals. Tonight I prepared the Sunbasket Chicken Piccata, it was very delicious.
Today is the first day the sugar dragons have come knocking on my door. Obviously, I haven’t given in to them but it is distracting. I read somewhere that cravings last between 3-5 minutes, if you can get yourself thinking about something else, the craving will likely subside.
- Take a hot bath or shower
- Call a friend
- Do some sit ups
- Make a cup of tea
- Read a few pages of a book
I’m hoping tomorrow will be a more productive day, I can’t wait for that tiger blood to kick in!!
