I’m not going to lie. Day 10 was challenging as whole. I feel like everywhere I turned today, there was a temptation and while committed to staying the course, it was hard. It doesn’t help that our weather here in Seattle has been gloomy, rainy, windy at a constant 45 degrees, it seems.
If you refer to the books and the handy chart, days 10 and 11 are the hardest days. Knowing that, it does help some in the I can prepare and ride out the storm.
I think also, it’s the monotony of the program. If I haven’t mentioned before…I LOVE breakfast. I think it’s my favorite meal; however, eggs and potatoes every day is getting a little boring. Time to pull out the recipe books and start digging for a little inspiration.
For breakfast today, I enjoyed a sausage and egg scramble with smashed Yukon golds left over from dinner the night before.
Lunch was a delicious salad of mixed greens, roasted chicken, avocado, tomatoes and Primal Kitchens Ranch.
We thoroughly enjoyed dinner, a Sunbasket meal and probably one of my favorites, for a few reasons; easy to prepare and delicious: Steaks with Chimichurri and Harissa-Roasted Sweet Potatoes.
Tomorrow is day 11 and I’m looking forward to getting through this slump. By the weekend, I’m hoping to feel better.
