Hooray for the half way point! Two weeks down, two to go – on the downward slide. Honestly, this process really hasn’t been hard. A few bumps along the way but the benefits far out weigh the negatives.
It was a glorious day today in Seattle. A true bluebird day, sunny skies and calm winds. A perfect day to be outside and you better believe Seattleites were taking full advantage of the opportunity.
I met up with a couple of good friends to walk around Greenlake, which is a just shy of three mile jaunt around the lake. It was glorious. I had lots of energy, my joints felt great (a true test after my hip replacement). Admittedly, it was the first good stretch of exercise I had enjoyed in a couple of months. Sad, I know but I’m looking forward, not backward and this definitely has spurred me to take on more.
Up next…yoga this week.
As my friend Lisa summed it up, “Look, we are not getting any younger, now is the time to get moving and take care of ourselves.” So true.
Breakfast today…I’m sounding like a broken record; fried eggs and hash browns.
Lunch – Cauliflower rice with sauteed bell peppers and leftover pork tenderloin from the night before. Sliced avocado.
Dinner – Sorry, no picture. John made roasted wild Pacific salmon, roasted potatoes and green beans.
