I really don’t have an excuse for missing days 24 and 25 other than I had a lot going on with my Beautycounter business those days and just put the blog on the back burner. There you have it, full disclosure. I will assure you I stayed on program and made it through those two days just fine.
Enter days 26-28
Some sort of stomach bug flew through our house. I will spare you the details but it was not pretty.
We both were down for the count and decided to send Charlie to my in laws over night to quarantine him from the nasty germs.
I missed a retreat to one of my favorite places, Seabrook. I had been looking forward to it for some time and wouldn’t you know I get sick the day I’m supposed to leave. Ugh.
With no appetite the first 36 hours, it was easy to stay the course because, well, I wasn’t consuming anything other than water.
When I finally got my appetite back I wanted one of two things…pizza or chicken noodle soup. I knew with just a few days left I needed to hang in there and see this thing to the end.
Last night, John had enough strength to go to the grocery store and pick up a rotisserie chicken. That hit the spot.
Today, day 28, I was able to have a little coffee this morning and later scrambled eggs and banana. I think by tomorrow I’ll be feeling a lot better so I can finish out this Whole30 strong.
